September 10, 12:00pm - 1:15pmMānoa Campus, KUY 410

The Center for Biographical Research presents: “Art in the Time of Genocide” with Mari Matsuda, Professor Emeritus, University of Hawaiʻi, Mānoa, William S. Richardson School of Law and Malia Osorio, Artist and Community Organizer. - Cosponsors: Students and Faculty for Justice in Palestine at UH - Short description: Lahaina burned. Bombs fell on Gaza. The Navy poisoned our water. Masked men in unmarked cars pulled our neighbors off the streets. Books were banned, women bled in parking lots outside emergency rooms, mass shootings became so common people lost track, while babies cried from hunger. We feared so many things. We wept for so many things. And we made art without ceasing.
