"Bringing Stories to Life on the Screen: Sima Urale Talks about Her Work." Award-winning filmmaker Sima Urale has been internationally recognized for her work, ranging from music videos to shorts and documentaries. She is currently working on her first full-lenth feature film as Fulbright-Creative New Zealand Writer-in-Residence at the UH Manoa Center for Pacific Islands Studies. <.p>

Urale's talk will feature clips of her work. Light refreshments will follow. Three of her films, O Tamaiti, Still Life, and Velvet Dreams, will be shown at noon, on Friday, Sept. 24, in Burns 3121/3125.
