Free Federal Grantwriting Workshops via U.H. ITS to begin August 9, 2005. The Hawai'i Minority Entity Capacity Building Project (HMECBP) will offer its next series of free grant writing workshops statewide via the U.H. ITS system beginning on August 9, 2005.
This training is made available through federal funding from the Department of Education, Rehabilitation Services Administration (Agreement number H315D020008) through the College of Education’s Minority Entity Capacity Building for Traditionally Underserved Populations. Participants are afforded an opportunity to learn and exchange ideas and practices to strengthen grant-writing skills in an eight-part series. The workshops are suitable for beginning grant writers as well as those with some grant writing experience who want to focus on federal grants. Priority is given to University system faculty, staff, and graduate students. A few spaces are available for community participants who are interested in collaborating with University departments and will commit to pursuing grants for individuals with disabilities. Pre-registration is required and space is limited. Participants may attend individual workshops or the entire series. The registration deadline is one week prior to each workshop.
