9th International Shoebox Sculpture Exhibition

March 5, 2006 - April 13, 2006
Mānoa Campus, University of Hawai'i Art Gallery, UHM Art Building

Good things really do come in small packages! More than 120 sculptures from around the world show how artists have handled the challenges of space and scale dictated by the size of an ordinary shoebox. Cast metal, carved wood, blown glass, woven fiber, paper maché, clay, beads, feathers, and found objects have been components of Shoebox Sculptures.

The triennial Shoebox Sculpture Exhibitions are always popular with the young and young-at-heart alike. With so many artworks that provoke thought, inspiration, or humor, visitors will have a hard time choosing only one favorite sculpture.
