Filipino College Student Summit
April 21, 2006 - April 22, 2006Manoa Campus, Art Auditorium and Kuykendall Hall
This year, 2006, marks a historic year for Filipinos in Hawaii. The Filipino Community is engaged in Centennial Celebrations commemorating the arrival of the first Sakadas to these Islands. As part of our contribution to the Filipino Centennial, Filipinos Linked In Pride, is holding a conference for college students, the Filipino College Student Summit.
The Summit will take place on Friday, April 21, 2006 to Saturday, April 22, 2006 at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. This year's theme is Harvesting the Past, Cultivating the Future. The Filipino College Student Summit aims to look at issues affecting college students such as higher education, community concerns, self identity, Filipino heritage and history, and Filipinos: Hawaii and beyond. The Filipino College Student Summit serves to involved college students in the Centennial celebration and provide a forum to learn, question, challenge, and reflect about Filipinos and Filipino heritage.
Registration Fee:
$20 by March 1st
$25 after March 1st
