Takacs Quartet

The Honolulu Chamber Music Series presents the third concert in their 2006-2007 season. The Takacs Quartet features Edward Dusinberre on violin, Karoly Schranz on violin, Geraldine Walther on viola, and Andras Fejer on cello.

Overwhelming favorites in previous HCMS seasons, Honolulu audiences confirm the internationally held view that the Takacs is one of the supreme quartets of all time. The “Cleveland Plain Dealer” says of their Beethoven recordings, “The Takacs might play this repertoire better than any quartet of the past or present.”

The Takacs Quartet appears by arrangement with Seldy Cramer Artists, and records for Hyperion and Decca/London records. The Takacs Quartet-in-Residence at the University of Colorado in Boulder and are Associate Artists at the South Bank Centere, London.
