Martial Arts Lecture

Martial arts scholar and practitioner Stanley E. Henning will present an illustrated lecture on Chinese martial arts. He will discuss the "Traumatic Passage -- The Face of Traditional Chinese Martial Arts in the 20th and 21st Centuries."
Stanley Henning has been a practitioner and scholar of Chinese martial arts since the 1970s. He has written reviews, articles and book chapters on the subject, including " Academia Encounters the Martial Arts." Henning is a UH alum.
This event will take place in Kuykendall 309 on the University of Hawai'i campus. The time is 9:30-10:20 a.m. Henning's lecture is part of the curriculum for Vincent Pollard's "China: Asian Nations Studies" class.
A question-and-answer session will follow.
