English Colloquium: Erica Reynolds Clayton

Erica Reynolds Clayton focuses on writing assessment as well as composition theory and pedagogy. Two of her essays are published in the collection Directed Self-Placement: Principles and Practices (Hampton P, 2003) edited by Daniel Royer and Roger Gilles. She will be defending her dissertation, “Self-Efficacy, Locus of Control, and Social Attitudes: Generation Media’s Response to Teacher Commentary” at the University of Arizona where she expects to receive her PhD in May 2007. Undergraduate courses she has taught include Literacy Narratives and the Craft of Revision, Politics and Persuasion in American Discourse, Writing for the Academy; Visual Text, Culture, and Self and Research, Technology, and Rhetoric.
