“Bare souls, not to mention bare abs” reads River North Dance’s website and that pretty much embodies what the company is all about.
Their performances contain the potent quality and power you expect from disciplined modern dancers…with a mischievous sense of fun and whimsy.
The jazz-based company’s repertoire runs the gamut from the sensual heat of the Cuban music inspired “Habaneras” to the playful “Take a Seat,” in which the dancers imaginatively use chairs to do everything but sit.
