National Tropical Botanical Garden with CEO Chipper Wichman

Located on the island of Kauai, the National Tropical Botanical Garden (NTBG) is dedicated to preserving tropical plant diversity and stemming the tide of extinction through plant exploration, propagation, habitat restoration, scientific research, and education.
Chipper Wichman, CEO and Director of NTBG comes to Oahu to share the story of this national resource.
Few people realize the incredible effort and dedication that went into obtaining the 1964 Congressional Charter for the National Tropical Botanical Garden or the international significance of the remarkable work that is being done at NTBG today. The story of NTBG is truly that of a dream fulfilled.
Wichman will also discuss NTBG's overall efforts to preserve native Hawaiian plants.
