Access to Justice and Protections for Individuals with Traumatic Brain Injury--first in a series presented by the UH Center on Law, Aging and Medicine. This series of presentations will explore the legal issues relating to Individuals with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) with an emphasis on healthcare decision-making (including end-of-life decisions), civil rights and protections from abuse, neglect and exploitation. This first session will provide an overview of different types and levels of incapacity commonly experienced by individuals with TBI, as well as laws affecting decisional capcity, civil rights and protection of individuals with TBI.
