The Movement to Demilitarize Okinawa, 1945-2007

Pete Shimazaki Doktor will discuss a current campaign to defend Okinawa's offshore environment near Henoko, Okinawa. Doktor's presentation will also address other concerns of "The Movement to Demilitarize Okinawa, 1945-2007."
The lecture will occur two days after the Irei no Hi commemoration of the 62nd anniversary of the end of the Battle of Okinawa. This activity is part of Dr. Vincent Pollard's "Introduction to Political Science" course.
Afterwards, there will be an opportunity for questions and answers.
