1st Annual Maui Water Resources Forum: e malama i ka wai

UH-Maui Community College will be hosting the 1st Annual Maui Water Resources Forum on the MCC Campus December 7th-8th.

The event will be an educational forum intended to raise the Maui community's awareness and understanding of the complexities surrounding our island's water resources. The event will bring together entities and individuals from the public, private, and non-profit sectors of Maui in order to present the multiple perspectives and major issues associated with water resources on Maui.

Attendance to the event is open to the public. Food and light entertainment will be provided. Please contact Alex de Roode with the Sustainable Living Insitute of Maui (SLIM) regarding attendance, participation, event sponsorship, and volunteer opportunities. A detailed agenda for the event will be posted shortly.

Registration cost is:

Early registration (received prior to Monday, November 26th): 1-day $10 (*$8) 2-days $17 (*$15)
General registration (received prior to Tuesday December 4th): 1-day $15 (*$13) 2-days $20 (*$17)
At the door (walk-in on day of event; meals cannot be guaranteed): 1-day $17 (*$15) 2-days $22 (*$20).

Attendance for 1-day is for either Friday, December 7th or Saturday, December 8th.
Attendance for 2-days is for both Friday, December 7th and Saturday, December 8th.

*Discounts available to UH students, faculty, and staff.

The registration fee includes: admission to the 1st Annual Maui Water Resources Forum; a continental breakfast and gourmet lunch prepared by the Maui Culinary Academy; and the opportunity to hear from key authorities and stakeholders in the areas of water resources management, conservation, sustainability, and future solutions for protecting this vital resource.

Please notify Maui Water Resources Forum coordinators upon check-in if you will be seeking Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for attending this event.
