Brubaker Talk on Organizational Transformation and Conflict
January 8, 4:30pm - 6:00pmManoa Campus, Shidler Collge of Business, Room A101
Even the best laid plans for organizational change can result in discord and conflict among members of the organization. It is important for members of an organization, particularly those in leadership positions, to approach change with an understanding of what conflict may occur with organizational change and how to deal effectively with such conflict.
The UHM Office of the Ombuds and the Program on Conflict Resolution are co-sponsoring a talk by David Brubaker on Organizational Transformation and Conflict. Brubaker, an assistant professor of Organizational Studies at the Eastern Mennonite University Center for Justice and Peacebuilding, has worked nationally and internationally on the issues of conflict resolution and organizational change. He has served as a workplace mediator, organizational consultant and leadership coach.
This talk should be of interest to organizational leaders, conflict resolution professionals, and students of organizational change.
