Myths, Realities of Chinese Martial Arts

Stanley E. Henning will lecture on myths and realities of Chinese martial arts.
The title of Henning's illustrated presentation is "Traumatic Passage -- The Face of Traditional Chinese Martial Arts in the 20th and 21st Centuries."
Mr. Henning has been a practitioner of Taijiquan since the 1970s. A University of Hawai'i alum and a scholar of Chinese martial arts, he has written reviews, encyclopedia articles, historical essays and book chapters on the subject.
This activity is part of Vincent K. Pollard's "Asian Nations Studies: China" course. There will be time for questions.
