Kapi'olani Campus, Ohia 118 Auditorium

Mr. Howard Dicus of the "Sunrise" morning TV show on KGMB 9 TV is returning to KCC this Wednesday (Feb. 6th) to speak on "Hawaii's Cooling Economy." His seminar will address the following issues: (1) how Hawaii's economy is different form the mainland economy; (2) what the impact will be on kama'aina residents entering the local work force; and (3) what Hawaii households can do to keep from being hurt by the expected economic downturn.

After years of working as a network radio correspondent in Washington, D.C., he moved to Honolulu at the end of 2000. Following seven years with Pacific Business News, reporting the newspaper's content on KHON2 and Hawaii Public Radio, Howard accepted a post with KGMB9 and is now a fixture of its morning show, "Sunrise," which airs Monday-Friday 4:30am- 8:00am He also does a weekly show on PBS Hawaii called "Everybody's Business," which airs 7:30pm Friday.
