UH Contemporary Music Ensemble

The first of two performances this semester, the UH Contemporary Music Ensemble, directed by Thomas Osborne, will feature an all-Hawaii composer lineup. On the program is Jon Magnussen's virtuoso piano work For Patsy as well as works by UH student composers Michael Foumai and Masaki Hasebe. Also featured is Neil McKay's Soundprints, a duo for clarinet and koto, and Thomas Osborne's Songs of a Thousand Autumns, a song cycle on ancient Japanese texts scored for piano, strings and soprano.
