A.G.E. Senior Tour #5: Schnitzer Steel Hawaii / RRR Recycling Services
June 26, 8:30am - 2:00pmWindward Campus, Hale Akoakoa Atrium
A walk through mountains of metal where cars, refrigerators and demolition materials are shredded and processed for shipment to market. The other possible tour will show the sort line and processing operations for the curbside mixed recyclables collection and their HI-5 RVM (reverse vending machine) redemption center. Lunch may be purchased nearby.
