The emerging scheme for climate mitigation - Shortcomings and challenges, by Professor Wolf D. Grossmann, University of Hawai'i, International Center for Climate and Society
Abstract: A scheme for climate mitigation is emerging that combines i.e. energy efficiency, renewable energy from different sources, an "intelligent" electricity grid and more. This scheme seems to ignore implications of economic growth and change. It seems to avoid addressing necessary changes in lifestyles which most likely will be dramatic.
Some of the new technologies will be briefly described as well as the necessity for adaptive management in the field of energy resulting from rapid technological change.
