Jay Shidler
Founder and managing partner of The Shidler Group; BBA, ‘68 (University of Hawai'i, Shidler College of Business)
The Shidler Group, a Honolulu-based commercial real-estate investment company, has acquired over 2,000 properties across the country and in Canada, including significant holdings in Honolulu, New York, Southern California and Arizona. Several of Shidler’s companies are now listed on the New York Stock Exchange: iStar Financial, Inc. (NYSE: SFI), First Industrial Realty Trust, Inc. (NYSE: FR), Corporate Office Properties Trust (NYSE: OFC), Primus Guaranty, Ltd. (NYSE: PRS), and Pacific Office Properties Trust.
In 2006, Shidler donated $25 million to the University of Hawai'i College of Business, the single largest donation from a private donor.
Alex Adamovich
B.Ec., LL.B., Dip. Ed., (Sydney University), LL.M. (London School of Economics and Political Science)
Business executive and financial investor Alex Adamovich has over 25 years of experience in the Asia and Australia.
Adamovich business acquisitions included a chain of liquor companies in Australia and a corporate consulting business. In 1986, he joined Glynhill Ltd., a public investment company in Hong Kong, as managing director. In 1993, Adamovich joined Peregrine Investments Holdings Ltd., as managing director of Peregrine Direct Investments (PDI) Ltd. division.
During his tenure, PDI invested over 400 million with an IRR of 35 percent.
In 1998, Adamovich bought control of the management company of ICC and became the largest shareholder in 1999. ICC’s manages numerous international investors and institutions such as USC, Case Western University, Oakmont Group, etc. He is a resident of Hong Kong and Australia and has offices in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Sydney.
