EDIBLE ISLANDER TALES. Tongan teller Emil Wolfgramm shares Polynesian tales and legends, ending with consumption of his `umu cooked power-bread using grated coconut. A recognized authority on Tongan and Polynesian epics and rituals, Emil will share several tales.
The week after this presentation, he defends his dissertation in Aoteroa on "The Tupaheo! Storytelling and Traditional Tongan Knowledge and Skills" followed by a week telling in Maori tribal marae.
