Public Health Presentation

November 13, 9:30am - 11:00am
Manoa Campus, OPHS-UHM Biomed D-207

“News You Can Use from Washington: Thoughts on Current, Present and Future MCH Policy Issues from Inside the DC Beltway...”

In 2007 Michael Fraser, PhD, joined the Association of Maternal and Child Health Programs (AMCHP) as the chief executive officer. AMCHP is the national organization representing state public health leaders and others working to improve the health and well-being of women, children, youth and families, including those with special health care needs. A sociologist by training, Fraser brings a unique and dynamic sense of energy and advocacy to AMCHP. His talk will focus on how to better “grow” more public health partnerships and leadership through collective awareness and involvement.
