November 21, 8:00pm - 10:00pmLeeward Campus, 96-045 Ala Ike, Pearl City, HI
Journey to the West is one of the classics of world literature whose influence continues to be seen world wide in movies, television, anime and video games. It is the story of the iconic Monkey King as he escorts a Buddhist monk on a quest to retrieve a holy sutra from India. What has made the story so enduring is its appeal as a tale of high adventure battling demons and escaping traps as well as a spiritual allegory for the pursuit of enlightenment.
