Rotaract Club of MCC Meeting

We invite you to come to our meeting. It is open to MCC students (any age) and young professionals (ages 18-30). We will be having guest speakers from an organization that we are currently working with for our suitcase drive for the foster youth on Maui.

We are looking for college students and young professionals that want to give back to our community.

We are an organization made up of college students and young professionals dedicated to making our communities a better place through service and fellowship. Since our chartering in July of 2006, we have acheived the following:

--Distributed hundreds of dictionaries to the 3rd graders on Moloka`i and Lana`i

--Participated in the Maui Firefighters' Chili Cook Off to raise money for the Burn Unit at Shriners Children's Hospital

--Raised $1166.28 for our project "Pennies For Polio," which will buy almost 2,000 vaccinations for children in Africa

--Helped raise $1,281.27 and 2,727 pounds of food for the Maui Food Bank

--Collected over 100 suitcases, bags and backpacks for the foster youth of Maui with a non-profit organization called Keiki Kokua --Raise over $1,000 for American Cancer Society's Relay For Life event

--Participated in the American Lung Association's Asthma Sports Day Camp for children with asthma

--Sent 3 Rotaractors to the 2006 USCC (United States, Canada and Caribbean) Rotaract Conference in Hollywood, California

--Sent 5 Rotaractors to the 2007 Rotaray International Convention in Salt Lake City, Utah

--Had a Rotaractor from our club be 1 of 7 chosen from around the world to participate in a week-long international project known as RARE (Rustic Alaskan Rotaract Experience)

--Participated in the annual Rotary Hollywood Canteen fundraiser with all 8 Rotary Clubs on Maui
