4th Annual School of Medicine Health Fair

The annual John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM) Health Fair is planned every year by the 1st and 2nd year medical students.

Our theme this year is "Celebrate Heath," and we will be featuring a blood drive, blood pressure, BMI, and other health screenings, free samples of nutritional items from Whole Foods and Vitamin Shoppe, gift certificate door prizes, a yoga demonstration, free massages by a massage therapist, free screenings by a licensed chiropractor, and more! This event will also be the debut of HMSA's new Online Care and will feature a preview demo of the new system.

Our motivational speaker this year is Dr. Terry Shintani, the author of several nutritional books, including The HawaiiDiet and Eat More, Weigh Less Diet. Mayor Mufi Hannemann and Lt. Governor Duke Aiona will also be present to give opening remarks.

Our goal for the health fair is to promote health awareness and healthy living to the people of Oahu. The health fair this year is sponsored by HMSA and Aloha Care.
