UHM Rings in Year of the Ox
January 26, 12:00pm - 12:30pmManoa Campus, Hawaii Hall lawn on the Varney Circle side of building
The UH Mānoa campus will usher in the Chinese Lunar Year of the Ox with a traditional lion dance performed by members of the Gee Yung Dragon & Lion Dance Association.
More than 40 youngsters from the on-campus Children’s Center, ages 2-5, are expected to be in attendance.
The Chinese lion dance is a unique and symbolic element of Chinese culture dating back thousands of years.
