ScholarSpace: Building an Institutional Repository at UH Manoa
By Beth Tillinghast
The Library at the University of Hawaii at Manoa is championing ScholarSpace, an online service for storing all sorts of scholarly information on a long-term basis: articles, dissertations, publications, slide shows, images, digital collections and audio and video clips. It's an easy-to-use web-based system that gives users a permanent home for their data without technical worries.
Beth Tillinghast, project manager for ScholarSpace, will discuss some of the motivating factors in developing an institutional repository here at the University of Hawaii, describe the system, give a quick tour of ScholarSpace, and discuss how the audience might become involved with the repository.
