Myths, Realities of Chinese Martial Arts

Stanley E. Henning will lecture on myths and realities of Chinese martial arts.
The title of Henning's illustrated presentation is "Traumatic Passage -- The Face of Traditional Chinese Martial Arts in the 20th and 21st Centuries."
Mr. Henning has been a practitioner of Taijiquan since the 1970s. He is a University of Hawai'i alum and a scholar of Chinese martial arts. Henning has written reviews, encyclopedia articles, historical essays and book chapters on Chinese Martial arts.
This activity is part of Vincent K. Pollard's "Asian Nations Studies: China" course. There will be time for questions.
