India Jazz Suites-Chitresh Das and Jason Samuels

At first glance they may seem like an odd couple but it is a marriage made in heaven. Indian Kathak dancer Pandit Chitresh Das and American tap dancer Jason Samuels Smith, both masters of intricate foot work, collaborate on an evening of dance and music.

Dancing together, sometimes in mock competition, they weave the intricate steps of their crafts in partnership. They also solo; Samuels to tabla, sitar and sarangi; Das to guitar, double bass and drums, to prove the universality of dance and music in all cultures.
