LEED Workshop: Green Home Design and Construction

The Sustainable Living Institute of Maui (SLIM) and the Hawaii Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) are excited to announce an upcoming workshop entitled "Green Home Design and Construction: The LEED Implementation Process". This workshop will be held on our very own Maui Community College campus in the Pilina Multipurpose Room on May 21, from 8:00am – 5:00 pm.

Description:

Green Home Design & Construction: The LEED Implementation Process (Instructor- led Full Day) New!

This workshop is intended for residential design and construction professionals involved in implementing the LEED for Homes Rating System, as well as those pursuing GBCI’s LEED AP+ (Tier II) credential in residential design and construction. It walks through the phases of a typical project, using case examples and implementation strategies throughout to reinforce learning and encourage students to apply knowledge to real-life situations. Practice test and exam preparation resources are available at a discount for workshop participants pursuing the LEED credential.

Prior Knowledge: Familiarity with both the LEED Rating System and “LEED for Homes Reference Guide v2008” a must. USGBC’s "LEED Core Concepts & Strategies” and “Introduction to LEED for Homes" online course and on-demand webinars strongly recommended.
