Native Hawaiians practiced sustainability within traditional ahupua'a land divisions. Find out how this model is being applied to contemporary watershed management in Hawai‘i.
Luciano Minerbi, Dr Arch, MUP, AICP, professor, Urban and Regional Planning, University of Hawai‘i since 1969, has taught courses in land use planning, environmental management, urban and rural design and policy planning for sustainability in Hawai‘i, the Pacific, and South East Asian islands. He consulted for the United Nations, Island Governments, and Federal, State, and County agencies and local community and Hawaiian groups.
