Digital Kung Fu: Protecting Yourself in our Digital World
October is National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM). The National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA) and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) sponsor NCSAM. UH is one of 10 universities selected to partner in this year’s awareness campaign which focuses on “Our Shared Responsibility.” In this workshop UH Information Technology Security Officer Jodi Ito will discuss digital technologies, threats and mitigation strategies in our digital world. As we practice physical security precautions, we must also practice safe computing habits to keep ourselves safe.
The workshop will be broadcast live to HITS sites throughout the UH System and on UH Manoa's Campus Cable TV channel 67. Attendance is open to the public, however if you are not associated with a UH Username please call in advance to (808) 956-2400; UH faculty and staff should register at: http://www.hawaii.edu/training
