“The Current Situation of Chinese Charitable Organizations and Their Future Development: Qingdao City as a Case Study”
Dr. Xue Rongfang 薛荣芳博士 青岛欧美同学会会长
Chairman, Association of Returned Scholars from the Americas & Europe, Qingdao branch
(talk to be given in Chinese with English interpretation)
Dr. Xue’s talk will cover the following areas: (1) Chinese charitable organization’s basic situation; (2) relations between the Government and charitable organizations; (3) the rise of grassroots charity organizations in China; and (4) tax policy “leniency” and the development of charitable organizations.
Dr. Xue is a member of Qingdao CCPCC; Chairman, Qingdao branch of the Association of Returned Scholars from the Americas & Europe; Deputy Chairman, General Charity Institute; and Deputy Chairman, International Chamber of Commerce, Qingdao. She received her Ph.D. in Political Science in 2009 from from Peking University.
