Women in Media: Conversation with Marsha Williams

December 2, 1:30pm - 4:15pm
Mānoa Campus, Arch 101A

Marsha Posner Williams is a multiple Primetime Emmy and Golden Globe Awards winning producer with about 400 episodes of network shows to her credit, including SOAP, the first primetime show featuring an openly gay character; and THE GOLDEN GIRLS, a show about four single older women that dealt with topical issues such as sexism, ageism and feminism.

This inspiring lecture will focus on women in media with emphasis in gender equality: both on and off screen. Moderated by ACM Assistant Professor George Chun Han Wang. Contributing supporter: Student Equity, Excellence and Diversity (SEED) Diversity and Equity Initiative.
