The seventh of fifteen siblings, Joan Soriano stood out early on by hitching a ride to Santo Domingo at age 13 to learn from some of the country’s greatest bachata musicians. Wielding his steel string guitar Soriano, blends Afro-Dominican sacred traditions with bachata, imparting his music with down to earth spirit and dance-ability.
