Celebrating 40 years of the Patsy T. Mink Act

In celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Patsy T. Mink Act, also known as Title IX, national speaker Janet Judge will present a discussion on current legislation trends and topics on Title IX.

Ms. Judge is a nationally recognized expert in the area of Title IX. She is one of the attorneys hired by the NCAA to draft the successful amicus brief for the NCAA in the Davis case.

Ms. Judge recently presented “Advanced Intercollegiate Compliance Issues under Title IX” to the National Association of College and University Attorneys at their national conference in 2011.

Ms. Judge co-authored the NCAA Manual on Title IX and is on the editorial board of College Athletics and the Law. Her publications include a number of articles and chapters on collegiate compliance, including “Title IX and Athletics” for the College and University Law Manual, (ed., R.W.Iuliano, 2009). She is included in the Best Lawyers in America in the areas of Sports and Employment Law and has been named a Super Lawyer for her Intercollegiate Sports Law work.

Ms. Judge is a graduate of Harvard University and Radcliffe College. Upon graduation from law school, she clerked for the Honorable Norman H. Stahl, United States Court of Appeals. Ms. Judge is admitted to practice law before state and federal courts in both Maine and Massachusetts.
