Mānoa Campus, Campus Center Ballroom

Event: Invisible Children Screening and Speaker
Date: Monday, March 19
Time: 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Place: Campus Center Ballroom

On Monday, March 19, Invisible Children will be presenting their new film: “Kony 2012”, in the Campus Center Ballroom from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Invisible Children (http://www.invisiblechildren.com/) is a non-profit dedicated to social justice and ending Africa's longest running conflict. According to Invisible Children, a man named Joseph Kony and his violent Lord's Resistance Army have been terrorizing the people of central Africa for over twenty five years. They sustain their armies by looting local villages and abducting women and children and forcing them to commit acts of violence in their own communities. Invisible Children is dedicated to extending genuine compassion to our brothers and sisters and setting them free from the terror they have been facing.

A speaker from Uganda will also be in attendance to present a first-hand look at the Central African conflict.

If you are interested in learning more about Joseph Kony, the struggles in Uganda, and Invisible Children, then come to the Campus Center Ballroom on Monday, March 19 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
