Both opening reception and exhibition are free and open to the public. “Hamasaki's intimate study honoring his parents reads as a personal essay about life, aging, and the power of photography to document, as well as to slow, direct, and sharpen perception. The series of photographs register this love and support.” –excerpt from show statement.
Mark Hamasaki is a Windward Community College art professor and has taught traditional processes of wetlab photography at the college since 1984.
