Environmental and Water Engineering Research Lecture

May 16, 3:00pm - 5:00pm
Mānoa Campus, POST 126

Professor So Kazama, Tohoku University: The Mekong River is subject to annual flooding during the rainy season, which in turn may affect the public health with the distribution of waterborne infectious diseases. A simulation model was developed to analyze flood inundation and distribution of coliform bacteria, using the 1994 Mekong River flood data and the relationship between solar radiation and coliform bacteria mortality.
