Peace Day and Constitution Day

September 20, 3:30pm - 5:00pm
Mānoa Campus, Art Auditorium

This year’s event features a panel of Return Peace Corps Volunteers (RPCV), who will be moderated by Hawai‘i State Representative Gene Ward, himself a former volunteer. Panelists will share their experiences to illustrate how their service has provided education, skills, and collaborative working tools to communities worldwide helping them build strong foundations so they are better prepared to face or rise from crises and conflict. Panelists include Matsunaga Institute for Peace Graduate Chair Bruce Barnes (Nigeria), Sena Pierce (Tonga), and Kevin Akayama (Bulgaria).

Co-sponsored by: The Matsunaga Institute for Peace, The Richardson School of Law, The Peace Corps, and the UH Service Learning Program
