Broadway @Palikū: 10 Years of "Bright" Lights
October 5, 7:30pm - 10:00pmWindward Campus, Paliku Theatre
A retrospective of the past decade of Broadway musicals produced “@Palikū” and directed by Ron Bright, from Fiddler on the Roof, My Fair Lady, South Pacific and Oklahoma! through Miss Saigon, West Side Story and The Phantom of the Opera. We also feature an extensive palette of many songs from Broadway shows we would like to do in the future, creating a night of Broadway’s Greatest Hits; over 30 songs, each of which is a show-stopping number. We feature many Hawaii performers who have sung on Broadway and performed in Broadway show tours. Superstars include: Mary Gutzi, Jade Stice, Kristian Lei, Cathy Foy Mahi, Michael Bright and Kimee Balmilero. Also, local theatre stars Shawna Masuda, Doug Scheer, Madison Eror, Lenny Villanueva, Tracy Yamamoto, Brianna Pratt, Miguel Cadoy III and 12-year-old Liam deClive-Lowe, to name just a few… a total cast of 41 star-quality performers. Marcelo Pacleb’s 24/7 Danceforce will be staging 2 blockbuster dance production numbers, from Hairspray and Chicago.
