Join Public Health Team-Strides Against Breast Cancer 5 mile Walk

October 6, 6:30am - 11:00am
Mānoa Campus, Biomed Bldg. D209

More than 1,000 women in Hawai‘i will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer this year, and about 140 will die from the disease.

Funds raised through Making Strides will help the American Cancer Society save lives and create more birthdays by helping people stay well by taking steps to reduce breast cancer risk or find it early; helping people get well by providing information and support during and after a breast cancer diagnosis; by finding cures through investment in groundbreaking breast cancer research; and by fighting back by encouraging lawmakers to pass laws to defeat breast cancer and by rallying communities worldwide to join the fight.

Join our Public Health team on Saturday, October 6, 2011 at Richardson Field (across from Aloha Stadium) to Ford Island and back.

Register for our team at www.makingstrides.acsevents.org under “uh_public_health_team” or call 956-8894.
