Honolulu Mayoral Debate

Ben Cayetano and Kirk Caldwell will debate O‘ahu’s key issues Saturday morning, 10 am to noon, at the University of Hawaii William S. Richardson School of Law, Classroom 2.

The debate is sponsored by the Hawaii Independent, the League of Women Voters Honolulu Chapter, and KTUH-FM.

Professor Aviam Soifer, Dean of the William S. Richard School of Law, will moderate.

Debate Process
Questions for the debate have been crowdsourced via social media, the web, and community events. The deadline for questions is October 4. On that date, a committee comprising Hawaii Independent editorial board members and our debate partners will meet to finalize questions.

Open to the Public
The Honolulu Mayoral Debate is free and open to the public.

Live-Broadcasting
Olelo Community Media will broadcast this debate live on NATV Channel 53 from 10am to 12 noon.
