Protect Oahu's forests from plant invaders!

November 10, 8:00am - 2:00pm
Mānoa Campus, Lyon Arboretum, 3860 Manoa Road

Please join the Oahu Invasive Species Committee (OISC) in partnership with Lyon Arboretum on a monthly work trip to remove harmful invasive plants from the island before they have a chance to spread and cause damage to our unique native forests and the important resource of fresh water that they provide.

On this work trip we will focus on the removal of a handful of invasive plant species, Ardisia virens, Ardisia sieboldii, and Stromanthe tonckat, to prevent their spread and establishment into the healthy native forests at higher elevations. Lyon Arboretum is the only location on O‘ahu where these species are growing, which means with your help we can work toward completely eliminating them from the island! Your contribution will help protect O'ahu's healthy native forests from new invaders!

Reservations required. Contact OISC for more information and to RSVP.
