Startup Weekend University of Hawaii
November 17, 8:00am - 5:00pmMānoa Campus, UH Manoa Campus
Startup Weekend University of Hawaii is an experiential event open to anyone who wants to pursue and develop a business idea. The event focuses on gathering market validation and analysis to form the foundation of a startup business over the course of a weekend. It provides the opportunity to meet and work with like-minded individuals who have a passion for entrepreneurship. We're looking for scientists, researchers, engineers, web designers and developers, and anyone who wants to test their idea for a business. While community SW’s focus on app development, we encourage any and all business ideas, including UH-based innovation.
Prizes will be awarded to teams that score the highest in three categories—most evolved, best pitch, and most likely to succeed. Winners will receive co-working space and a cloud plan of virtual office services, a chance to pitch to the directors of an accelerator, a chance to pitch to a microloan board, a bunch of swag, and lots of high-fives and "way-to-gos" from your peers.
