Intro to PV Design & Installation

This entry-level PV course is designed to prepare you for the NABCEP PV Entry Level exam. Basics of electricity, principles of solar irradiance and irradiation, and PV system components and system configurations are covered. Some hands-on is provided to give the student an intro to installations of PV systems. PV systems deal primarily with electrical systems, so you will find that having some familiarity with basic electrical extremely useful. A non-graphing calculator will also be useful for class and for working problems. Note that you are allowed a non-graphing calculator during the NABCEP PV Entry Level exam. According to Hawaii law, all electrical work needs to be performed by a licensed electrician.
