Hawaii Food Bank Canned Food Drive
February 26, 12:00pm - 3:00pmManoa Campus, Campus Center
The UH Manoa chapter of Golden Key International Honour Society will be supporting the Hawaii Food Bank by collecting donations of canned goods and other non-perishable foods to help replenish the food bank’s warehouse.
The Hawaii Food Bank is the only nonprofit 501(c)(3) agency in the state of Hawaii that collects, warehouses and distributes mass quantities of both perishable and nonperishable food to more than 183,500 people statewide which is over 14 percent of Hawaii’s population. In the past week, GK members have donated more than 60 pounds of canned goods on our way to collecting a total 200 pounds of food for the Hawaii Food Bank.
If you are interested in helping GK support the Hawaii Food Bank, please contact Crystal Morton at batescry@hawaii.edu, or stop by our collection table at the UHM Campus Center from 12-3 p.m. on February 21, 26, and 28.
