Liminal, an MFA thesis exhibition by Jessica Orfe
March 3, 2013 - March 8, 2013Mānoa Campus, Art Building, Commons Gallery
A relation: a transition into the void of waking dreams and intrusive memory.
MFA student Jessica Orfe relates an exploration of dreams in her graduate thesis exhibition, "Liminal," displayed in the Commons Gallery at the University of Hawai‘i at MÄnoa. "Liminal" describes the intermediary zone between wakeful experience and sleep. Drawings act as portals into this space. A large-scale video projection streams a pulsing loop of dream imagery.
The exhibition runs from March 3-8. The opening reception will be held on Sunday, March 3rd, from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the Commons Gallery.
