The Authority of the Ethics Consultant
September 20, 2:30pm - 5:00pmMānoa Campus, Sakamaki Hall C-308
TOPIC: The study of ethics can be “theory driven” or “problem driven.” In recent years philosophers are increasingly undertaking problem-driven tasks and the role of the “ethicist” or “ethics consultant” has made a curious appearance. Drawing upon his experience as an expert witness in a recent ethics-related court case, Professor Kenneth Kipnis will discuss this development.
