Open Educational Resources at UH

April 30, 9:00am - 11:45am
Mānoa Campus, ITC 105 A&B; UHH - Mo'okini Library Room 359 & UHWO - Building C Room 247 (remote)

Presentation: The Power of Open: The Learning, Business, and Policy Case for OER. Followed by In-Depth Q&A with Cable Green, director of global learning at Creative Commons.

The cost of textbooks and instructional materials represents a significant financial burden to students. Academic success may also be impacted as students forgo buying textbooks or do not take classes because of the expense.

The Open Educational Resource movement aims to produce open textbooks and other instructional materials, making them available to students free of charge.

Join us for discussions about the future of open educational resources at the University of Hawai‘i.
